Jennyfer Lara (she/they)

Herbalist, Wellness Consultant & Gardener

Jenny is a whimsical earthling who can't help but swirl herself in awe of the natural world and the power of Herbal Medicine. She's a fairy who enjoys sippin' her tea, gardening, eating and cooking desserts and meals, dancing, moon reflecting, stretching, and hiking in the abundant landscapes of the PNW.

Her mission is to wander and connect deeply within to understand the root causes of dis-ease. She believes that through reconnecting with nature, we begin a journey that tends to our inner landscape - emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. She is an advocate for earth-centered practices, Food as Medicine, Herbalism, ancestral inner work (food, medicine, culture, trauma), and practicing ceremony in all stages of life.

Her deep admiration for Herbal Medicine led her to study at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon where she received her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Science in 2018. Through her studies, she felt called to deepen her practice with plants through medicine making, plant meditation, and tea ceremony. The same year she completed her Shamanic Permaculture Design Course through the Paititi Institute for the Preservation of Ecology and Indigenous Culture. The following year she nourished her spirit as a Garden Apprentice while studying the arts and healing nature of Ayurveda, Herbalism, and Nutrition at Hawthorn Institute's Herbal Foundations Program in Southern Oregon.

She is latinx, speaks English and Spanish fluently, and Arabic and Italian proficiently.

“Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy. I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.”
